New Compac Office:
ARGENTINA is now Compac territory with a Compac office enjoying its grand opening on June 23 in the Rio Negro district. Sales and service staff are already trained and working hard with three sites already up and running.

When you need support on-site, Compac technicians are there for you. Our technicians around the world help customers by installing new technology, providing seasonal maintenance and technical support. You can contact your technician via your local service number, or via e-mail.
Before you call your Compac technician, check your user manuals. The user manuals for the software and sorting machine include troubleshooting guides. Finding the answer in the manual can save your valuable time by providing the solution immediately, and may also save you the cost of a technician call. For a minor problem, send an e-mail to your local technician, or to service@compacsort.com . If you are having a software problem, make sure that your sorting machine PC is connected to a phone line or Internet access. With this set up, Compac can connect to your sorting machine directly, to solve your problem remotely. (To test this, connect the PC, then contact Compac Service and ask for a test.) For a serious problem, call your local technician and arrange a site visit. When you call :
Provide a clear description of your problem.
-
Provide your schedule of operations for the technician. Depending on the problem, the technician may need to observe and work on a sorting machine while it runs, or may need to work on it outside a packing shift.
-
Note which part of the sorting machine is having problems so that the technician can bring appropriate spare parts.
-
Make sure that a contact person, with all the information about the problem, is available to meet with the Compac technician when they arrive on site.
-
Schedule some time at your facility to allow the problem to be fixed.
In other Service news, the new 2005 Spare Parts catalog is now available. We provide a Spare Parts catalog with each new machine, and you can also order them from Compac. We have also translated our Mechanical Manuals for MLS and SLS sorters into Spanish.
